Standard dentures are basic dentures that have a life expectancy of approximately 5 years. This is the most affordable denture option, but their fit and aesthetics are compromised due to less accurate impressions and bite registrations.
Upgraded standard dentures offer improved fit and aesthetics. These use composite teeth and advanced impression and registration techniques.
Also called “full dentures,” complete dentures are for when all of your natural teeth are gone. They’re held in place by suction and can be removed. They’re available either for the top ridge, the bottom ridge, or both.
This removable prosthesis goes in place of a few teeth rather than a full set. Partial dentures are a set of artificial teeth that are held in place by your natural teeth and ridge. This is often used when your teeth aren’t strong enough to support a permanent bridge. These can be made of acrylic or cast metal.
Transitional dentures are a temporary dental prosthesis that a patient begins wearing the same day that their natural teeth are extracted. After 6-12 months, these dentures will be replaced due to the tissue changes that will be taking place in your mouth during healing. It serves as an interim denture so that you won’t have to spend any time without a full set of teeth.
Immediate dentures are made before your natural teeth are removed, and inserted once the teeth are removed. As the name indicates, immediate dentures can be worn directly after tooth extraction, so you won’t be without teeth. As your gums and jaw heal over the course of months, you may need your dentures relined. Please be advised that this relining is not included in the original price.
Dental implants are titanium anchors that are permanently inserted in your jawbone. These act similarly to a natural root, and they help to keep your dentures secure, allowing you to eat the foods you love without worrying about your dentures slipping in your mouth. Overdentures are removable and are suitable for patients with a strong enough jawbone to support implants.
